loves cats
loves all storms
adopts tree branches
thinks noise is interesting
owns a hurdy-gurdy or two
dreams about goats, Say waaa?
~pause~
Fluffy the Cat goes by,
then Papa Chacho
(the curly lines are the whiskers on the cat)
seeks to make music with aliens (what?)
sitting, the 'pataphysical stool and holding kitty
loved an old ghostly green truck in a junkyard
believing that polka dots are important

.i started look towards fiction and myth as my research direction. When can art be the score and its subsequent story and Is there any reality at all in just a dream?

Here is my photo of the artist and writer Eugene Chadbourne. My MFA was devoted sound art and theatrics. I then tried to develop some skill at writing in order to express my feelings.
MFA
Once upon a time long long ago in a land not so far away, a unique and slightly nonsensical gallery performance took place as my first gallery-live experience. Daniel rolled around on the floor--a floor improvisational dance-- and this was my most important 'Pataphysical Art-Happening-- a run up to a 'pata-PhD, lord willing in jazz and myth.
Beau's quartet of steel sinks with handmade mallets, the rocking-chair piano, the 'Patapysical stool in pink with a sideways piano & bent bolt.

- The Rubber-Band Trombone
minimalism, abstraction, and absurdity. - Musicology to Photography, Noise to Color, from Trombone to Hurdy-Gurdy: so often found tree branches on the ground were my musical score. The Object Score was my quest. The wooden wheel is my muse.
My MFA was granted during a stormy scene on the morning of Halloween, 2019. Thank you Dr. Owen Smith, Dr. Susan Smith, and Amy Stacey Curtis
I was born to Alfred Christian Winters of Queens, NY & Yvonne Decima Roe of Brooklyn & Newfoundland in 1958.
Childhood took place in Levittown, Long Island New York on the south shore of Long Island in the late 1960s. I started studying classical snare drum, then jazz trombone, later becaming obsessed with the hurdy-gurdy and drone sound in 1999. - My Baritone Tekerőlant (hurdy-gurdy/lira)

While experimenting with drone music, abstraction, and sound-art, I shifted towards researching jazz mythology.
Special thanks to sweet Raven Wind. Thank you also to Julian Z. Winters for humor; our wild and nutty world with its tendency towards buffoonery, all aimed at giving humor and pluck into my strange ideas. Thank you in the same way to Chavaleh, and all my kids. Thank you for bass! Zahavah Winters offered for her fantastic musical inspiration. Thank you to Tzietel Tatiana Winters for her inclination toward pretend stories, vivid colors, retro toys and polka-dotted art mushrooms.
My MFA degree was granted in experimental-musical composition during a wonderful storm on the morning of Halloween, 2019 (other jcw)
Thank you to Susan Smith, Owen Smith and Amy Stacey Curtis.
My research involved sound-art works with found objects; junk, sticks, sinks, tree branches, hurdy-gurdys and one cardboard box all were ceremoniously presented in a disorderly fashion as musical scores! given to unwitting fellow experts and teachers or art and music.
Artistic mayhem, my brain as a poster and his lunch bag torn to pieces, and a bent bolt. The sideways piano. A trombone with broom & dust pan, gray light squares. Surely this is rubbish… A Choir of Naysayers? A stick taped to a computer screen. My absurdist play, "The Circle" with its live soundtrack— a version (if we can call it that) of "Salvation is Created"— my pal Steve wandering around the circle while playing his contra-alto clarinet. Dr. Susan Smith threw her program back at us like a snowball.
I did some writing, about bugs inside trees or moving the main offices to the moon, April Fools Memo about living on the moon and avant-garden films with the great artist and dear friend Duane Ingals. Tuesday nights I drove home as it snowed. Almost seeming a hypnotic with its lonely road in the dark, the heavy snow still falling. Yet I have my 'pataphysical stool. I proudly announce, “I'm on a diet now. Then one day we presented an homage to John Cage in front of scientists in a lunch line— my cotton-headed, silly, 'pata-dada, post-modern, student muse about racism, animal cruelty, the cold, dark world of free-range capitalism and war.
The conservative buries his head in the sand but the 1960s are still with us— its need for a good manifesto, its remnants of Dada Art the move to make war illegal using art, and it's not over. The 60 are here and still persist. Environmental destruction is a war crime. We're guests. My art has choosen junk rather than commuter coding to express itself. Essentially it is a modern day form of Dadaism. Art becomes an opportunity to assert my feelings that liberalism is the highest form of political courage.
